Rakul Preet Singh is an Indian film actress and model who primarily works in the Telugu film industry. She has also appeared in Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films. Rakul began modeling during her school days and made her acting debut with the Kannada film *Gilli* (2009). In 2011, she participated in the Femina Miss India pageant, where she finished in fifth place and won five titles, including 'Miss India People's Choice'. She subsequently decided to pursue acting full-time, making her Telugu debut with Keratam that same year and her Tamil debut with Thadaiyara Thaakka the following year. She entered Bollywood in 2014 with Yaariyan, a film in which her performance was well-received. Rakul was part of commercially successful Telugu films such as Venkatadri Express (2013), Current Theega (2014), and Loukyam (2014). Following the success of these films, she landed major projects in the industry, including Kick 2 (2015), Bruce Lee (2015), Nannaku Prematho (2016), Sarrainodu (2016), and Dhruva (2016).
