Chopra Rise to Stardom in Bollywood
After establishing a solid foundation through her early life and education, Chopra embarked on her journey to stardom in Bollywood. She made her acting debut in 2002 with the film ‘The Hero: Love Story of a Spy,’ where she portrayed the role of a supporting character. Although her debut film received mixed reviews, it was her next release, ‘Andaaz,’ that catapulted her to fame. Chopra’s performance as the lead actress in this romantic drama garnered critical acclaim and earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

After Chopra’s first big hit, she did great in other movies such as ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi,’ ‘Krrish,’ and ‘Fashion.’ She proved she could handle all sorts of roles, playing in rom-coms and even serious, weighty movies; then, in 2008, everyone really noticed her amazing acting when she played a model dealing with really tough issues in ‘Fashion,’ and she won the extremely prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress for it.

Chopra got much famous in Bollywood for the amazing parts she played in films like ‘7 Khoon Maaf,’ ‘Barfi!,’ and ‘Mary Kom.’ When she took on the role of Mary Kom, the Indian boxer, in the film about her life and career, a significant amount of people thought she did a great job acting and she ended up scoring several awards.

Besides being an actress, Chopra started making movies, too. She opened her own movie-making location called Purple Pebble Pictures in 2015. She wanted her company to boost local movies and help skillful movie makers get chances.
